April Henry's GIRL, STOLEN wins the 2011-2012 MD Black-Eyed Susan Book Award

2011-2012 MD Black-Eyed Susan Book Award winner


We are pleased to announce that April Henry's GIRL, STOLEN is the winner of the 2011-2012 Maryland Black-Eyed Susan Book Award in the high school category!

Sponsored by the Maryland Association of School Librarians, the Black-Eyed Susan Book Award nominees are determined by school and public librarians and other members of the Maryland Association of School Librarians who decide which books will be placed on student reading lists. The award winners are then chosen by Maryland students. The purpose of the Black-Eyed Susan Book Award Program is to promote life-long reading habits by encouraging students to read and enjoy quality contemporary literature that broadens understanding of the human experience.
