Nancy Elizabeth Wallace’s favorite questions that children ask her

Nancy Elizabeth Wallace recently sent us her list of favorite questions that children have asked her, and we thought we’d share them with you. Here they are in no particular order, and we’d love to hear how you might answer them:

When you were in 2nd grade did you like fruits and vegetables?

Were you always good when you were in 2nd grade?

How do you know how to be creative?

How do you make the pictures look 3-D?

How do you come up with the ideas for making books?

How long did it take you to write __________(fill in book title)?

How many books have you written?  Are you working on a book right now?

Can you cook?   A cake?   Who taught you?

When did you start to write your books?

Why do you use rabbits instead of other animals?

How much money do you make?

How do your books get in the bookstore?

How do you know so much about pumpkins?

Are you married?

Do you have a rabbit or cat or dog or just a plain old fish?

How did you become a writer?

Is it hard to make a book?  Do your hands hurt from cutting?

Would you write a book about hockey so you could tell me how to play hockey better?

Do you know that your initials spell the word NEW!?
