Joanne Rocklin's ONE DAY AND ONE AMAZING MORNING ON ORANGE STREET wins the 2012 Focal Award

We are pleased to announce that Joanne Rocklin's ONE DAY AND ONE AMAZING MORNING ON ORANGE STREET is this year's Focal Award winner.

The Focal Award is presented annually to children's books that enrich a child’s knowledge and understanding of California and its history.

The award committee, which typically consists of teachers, librarians, booksellers, writers and others who focus on children's literature, generally choose winners from books published within the past five years. Each year's winning title must also be of the highest literary and artistic quality.

Please join us in congratulating Joanne, who in January will receive her award -- an original handmade puppet created by FOCAL member of a character in ONE DAY AND ONE AMAZING MORNING ON ORANGE STREET.
